About

Salutations and merry meet! I’m Neil. I have too many blog pages. I need to pick one and kill the rest.

I was, however, born in Cleveland, Ohio at the Cleveland Clinic.  I try not to let that go to my head.  I’m just a regular guy like everyone else.
I was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around my neck, so yeah, I’m a C-baby.  It’s a good thing I was too young to comprehend the concept of signs and portends.

I lived the first few years of my life in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a close suburb of Cleveland.  The kid that lived next to me ate worms.  He was my first friend.  Couple years later, he decided to take apart my toy train.  No, he didn’t put it back together.  He shoulda stuck with the worms.

A few years later we moved a few miles south to Strongsville, Ohio.  My last name is ‘Weakley’.  Yes, ‘Weakley’ in ‘Strongsville’.  I’ll wait ’til your done laughing….
I lived there from the age of about 5 to 8 years old.  My parents got divorced when I was 7.  When I was 8 my mom, sister and I moved to West Chester, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia.
When I was 14, my dad and step-mother asked me to move back with them, so then I was back in that same neighborhood I left when I was 8 in Strongsville, Ohio.  Stayed there through high school where I have many stories with which to regale you of my upbringing.  My dad had some interesting ideas about “building character”.
While I was in college at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, his ideas got even more interesting.  I’ll tell you about haggis and a sick cat.  You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, but mostly you’ll cry.
